Saying goodbye to our brother Max 🪂
Unfortunately, I found out yesterday that my good friend Max Slobodain (@maxignite) died skydiving in Switzerland. I stayed awake the whole night watching videos of Max and me and decided to put everything together as a tribute. I couldn't hold myself from crying while editing this video.
Max was a unique person, full of happiness and motivation to be his best version. I am grateful to have come across this dude, built a strong friendship, and created such fun content together.Â
Max and I shot together many helicopter jumps in the last three years in Los Angeles. Before he jumped at Dan Bilzerian’s house for the second time, I asked him the obvious question: “What feelings do you have in your body right now? Are you scared?” I knew Max was a professional skydiver with lots of experience, but still, it was a night jump with a minimal landing place.Â
His answer was very straightforward: “not even a bit; I feel comfortable in the air as much as you feel comfortable walking on the ground.”Â
It was compelling and inspiring to watch him from the side say that and, a few minutes later, film him jumping from the helicopter with a massive smile. With his considerable life experience, which includes more than 8,000 jumps, he gained a lot of knowledge and managed to decrease his level of risk. As a result, he received the ability and the faith to do things that to others seemed impossible.
I wish it weren’t real and I didn’t have to say goodbye to you today, Max. You were always so lovely to me and always cared about me, and the last voice message you sent me will always remain proof.
Two days ago, Max posted a photo when he was standing on the edge of a cliff before BASE jumping and wrote:Â
“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love”Â
Max, I will always love you, brother. Thank you for so many unforgettable moments together 🙏🕊
